Cinemata is the exclusive online host of the 7th Likhang Mulat: FEU Film Movements Festival, marking the fourth consecutive year of partnership with the Far Eastern University Department of Communication (FEU–DepComm).
In commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the festival’s films will be available to stream for free on Cinemata from December 12 to December 21, extending student works beyond the classroom and into wider public conversations on social issues and human rights.
Likhang Mulat VII presents 14 official selections that confront injustice, amplify silenced voices, and reclaim narratives through progressive and alternative cinema. The films explore stories of loss, resistance, memory, and survival, reflecting how human rights issues are lived, felt, and negotiated in everyday contexts.
This year’s edition is anchored on the theme:
“Korapsyon, LABANAN! TIYAKIN ang Pananagutan. Maka-karapatang paggu-gobyerno, IPAGLABAN!” (Fight corruption. Ensure accountability. Defend rights-based governance.)
Guided by the department’s principle of “may alam, may pakialam” (socially informed and socially involved), Likhang Mulat continues to position student filmmaking as a space for critical inquiry, social reflection, and civic engagement, affirming the role of cinema in shaping awareness, dialogue, and responsibility.
